Welding and strengthening the chassis of heavy and semi-heavy vehicles on site

The importance of chassis in heavy and semi-heavy vehicles

Factors of damage to the chassis of heavy vehicles

1. Excessive loadingCarrying more than the capacity will cause a lot of pressure on the chassis beams and eventually crack or bend it.
2. Crash from the front or sidesA strong impact in an accident can make the chassis out of alignment.
3. Metal rust and decayContinuous contact with moisture and Over time, road salt causes chassis corrosion.
4. Improper previous weldingPrevious repairs, if done by unprofessional people, create new weaknesses in the metal structure.
5. Wear caused by long-term workHeavy vehicles usually work for years in harsh conditions, and their long life causes a decrease in chassis resistance. It will be.

Welding and chassis strengthening services in the old forge

1. Specialized chassis diagnosis and troubleshooting

2. Specialized chassis welding

3. Reinforcement and reconstruction

The steel used in all reinforcement sheets is industrial type with standard thickness, which has high resistance to pressure and impact.

4. Service warranty

All projects done at Old Ironwork include warranty and post-repair support.

5. Installment services

For the convenience of customers, the cost of welding and reinforcing the chassis can be paid in installments.

The stages of the chassis welding project

1. Initial contact and coordinationThe customer contacts the technical department and announces the type of vehicle and the extent of the damage.
2. Dispatch of experts to the siteExperts are dispatched to visit and take detailed measurements.
3. Inspect the damage and propose the welding methodDepending on the type of damage, from electrode welding, CO2 or a combination of both is used.
4. Welding and chassis levelingAfter welding, the chassis alignment line is revised and excess stresses are removed.
5. Final rustproofing and paintingAt the end, the chassis surface is thoroughly cleaned and industrially painted to prevent rust in the future.

Cars covered by old forging services

• Nissan Zamiad dumper
• Havar Benz 608 and 809
• Isuzu NPR and NKR
• Jack truck
• Volvo FH and FM
• Benz and Amico trucks
• Mazda and Toyota Semi heavy

All of these cars are fully supported in the Old Forge workshop and welding and chassis strengthening services are available for them.

Signs of the need for welding and strengthening the chassis

• Abnormal noise from under the car when crossing a bump
• Vehicle swerves to one side
• Cracked paint or deformation of the car floor
• Excessive vibration when unloading the load
• Drop in height on one side of the car

If you see any of the above, the car should be handed over to the oldsmiths experts for a professional inspection.

Safety tips during chassis welding

Chassis welding requires high precision; In the old blacksmith workshop, the following are observed:

• Using fireproof gloves and a standard welding mask
• Cut off excess electricity around the car
• Preventing sparks from contacting fuel and oil
• Using safety plates to prevent damage to the body

The role of strengthening the chassis in increasing the life of the car

When the car chassis is reinforced, the pressure from the load is distributed evenly.

As a result, not only breakage is prevented, but the useful life of the entire suspension system and cargo room is increased. This issue is especially important in cargo trucks that are many kilometers on the road every day.

Summary
